ABOUT THE JOB
POSITION: ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF AIRCRAFT COMMUNICATION & NAVIGATION SYSTEMS
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PART TIME INSTRUCTOR
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, earned in residence through a full-time program at an accredited institution. Relevant certifications in avionics or communication systems are advantageous.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
Practical experience in the aviation industry, particularly in roles related to communication and navigation system design, testing, or maintenance is desirable.
Possess expertise in Communication Systems: In-depth knowledge of aircraft communication systems, including VHF, HF, satellite communication, and data link technologies; Navigation Systems: Understanding of various navigation systems such as GPS, inertial navigation, radio navigation aids (VOR, NDB), and modern avionics; Avionics Integration: Expertise in the integration of communication and navigation systems within the aircraft’s avionics suite; Regulatory Standards: Familiarity with ECAA regulations and international standards governing aircraft communication and navigation systems; Signal Processing: Knowledge of signal processing techniques relevant to communication and navigation systems.
LANGUAGE
Knowledge of ET working language English is mandatory.
