1 | Assists in the development and implementation of a SMS in accordance with the guidance contained in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 CFR Part 5, Advisory Circular (AC) 120-92B and ICAO 9859. |
2 | Administrates, plans, and leads all risk working groups. |
3 | Assists in planning and administration of Safety Review Boards (SRB). |
4 | Manages relationships with representatives from all operational departments, regulatory authorities/governing bodies (FAA, ICAO, EASA, etc.) regarding the development and management of the Flightstar SMS. |
5 | Responsible for the research, analysis and development of hazard identification processes to enhance the Flightstar SMS. |
6 | Manages, develops and coordinates change management, risk assessments and safety analysis within the Flightstar SMS. |
7 | Develops, compiles and distributes analysis, trends and statistics based upon SMS data and makes recommendations with a data driven approach to safety. |
8 | Tracks safety recommendations, hazards, risks, findings, corrective actions, contributing factors, and root causes to ensure accuracy, reporting and follow-up as necessary. |
9 | Assists in event-specific investigations into all safety related aspects of company operations, including, but not limited to aircraft accidents, incident, irregular events, OSHA, etc. |
10 | Prepare monthly reports that detail the scope of each audit, audit findings, root causes, and corrective actions. |
11 | Responsible for the management and monitoring of the Just Culture program and its effectiveness. |
12 | Provides safety and SMS training to employees. |
13 | Managers the QA Auditors and the Technical Librarian |
14 | Oversees regulatory affairs pertaining to FAA Federal Aviation Regulations and various international civil aviation authorities. |
15 | Provide customer liaison during audits. |
16 | Primary FAA liaison and point of contact during FAA audits and visits. |
17 | Any other duties as assigned. |
