Description:As a Category Management Manager you will be a part of the Enterprise Operations Central Procurement team supporting the Aeronautics Business Area. Focus will primarily be on mechanical and electrical hardware for all Aeronautics programs which has a high supplier count and a high volume of orders. The position is responsible for managing a team of professional Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Management personnel who manage cost, schedule, and supplier performance. This position is responsible for directing all phases of the subcontracts from initiation, Request For Proposals (RFPs), proposals, negotiations, issuing purchase orders, subcontract management of the suppliers, internal audits, supplier reviews, program reviews and all associated metrics. The position includes responsibilities in all aspects of the purchasing process for a portfolio of suppliers supporting the Aeronautics Business Area. Will involve close coordination with various strategic suppliers. Position will require the ability to promote a positive team environment, involvement and participation. Selected Candidate will be required to assist the Team in closing negotiations as required and will be subject to special assignments as required by upper management. This position is responsible for coordinating employee selection/hiring, training, development, performance and assessments, work assignments, salary and recognition performance, career development and disciplinary actions. Provide critical assessment of internal operation performance and assessment and workflow analysis. Provides work direction to employees regarding daily work. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
• Program/project management skills
• Experience with subcontract cost, quality, schedule and technical program performance
• Experience with systems such as MRP, LMAP, and SAP
• Experience as a Mentor, a Lead or in a Leadership role, within SCM
Desired Skills:
• Sourcing in accordance with FAR and DFAR, and experience working with Aerospace and/or defense suppliers and distributors
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with ability to leverage spend analytics and spanet research
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence executive leadership and drive change
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, such as Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), to drive sourcing solutions and business growth
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive category/commodity strategies and execution plan that align with business priorities and objectives, using data analytics and industry knowledge to drive innovation and cost savings

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
