Position OverviewWe are seeking skilled TIG Welders to join our aerospace production team. Welders must be able to perform to AWS D17.1 aerospace standards using Inconel (nickel/cobalt-based materials). Candidates with TIG welding experience in aerospace or sheet metal environments will be prioritized.
This is a temp-to-perm role through PDS/Adecco, with the potential to convert to full-time employment after approximately six months based on performance.
ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints, take measurements, and plan welding layouts.
Set up components, secure them in jigs/fixtures, and align using calipers and rulers.
Perform TIG welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
Operate saws, grinders, and other tools to prepare materials for welding.
Inspect and test welds to identify flaws or structural issues.
Maintain welding equipment and comply with all safety standards.
Training & OnboardingCertification period: 90–120 days, followed by 60 days of ramp-up to production standards.
Training is typically conducted on 1st shift but may be adjusted for 2nd/3rd shift needs.
Weld test required: 45-minute hands-on assessment with a production welder present.
Candidates are encouraged to bring their own welding helmet; other PPE is provided.
Requirements5+ years TIG welding experience (aerospace or sheet metal preferred).
Ability to weld to AWS D17.1 standards.
Experience with Inconel or other nickel-based alloys.
Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
AWS certification is a plus, but not required.
DetailsPay: $26.00/hour + 10 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Overtime available, not mandatory.
Standardized tools and consumables provided.
Temp-to-perm with potential for full-time conversion in as little as 6 months.
Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
