SUMMARY:
Responsible to ensure all materials are received at the Repair Station and determine that they meet the specifications and conform to all applicable regulations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspect materials visually for external or hidden damage.
2. Verify that tags or certifications are correct and meet applicable federal regulations.
3. Verify that all sealants, adhesives and rubber goods are within manufacture’s shelf life.
4. Verify that all materials are properly packed and stored.
5. Identify Suspected Unapproved Parts and processes ref RSM 5.5.12.
6. Must complete and maintain required training, customers and VT-SAA’s.
7. Willing to work first or second shift, also overtime and Saturdays as required.
8. Perform other duties as required by the Manager Quality Control/Chief Inspector.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Good working knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the following:
Receiving Inspectors shall demonstrate familiarity with Federal Aviation administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) as detailed in the VT SAA RSM. Additionally Receiving Inspectors shall demonstrate familiarity with processes and procedures used by VT SAA to perform receiving inspections of incoming materials, parts, components, appliances, etc. procured for use on Customer aircraft at VT SAA.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: The incumbent normally performs the duty assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. Total end results determine effectiveness of job performance.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various departments, management and the public.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate controlled office but not limited to the office. Must be able to cope with stress and mental exhaustion due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, employee confrontations and long work hours.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
CERTIFICATION: Be eligible to obtain FAA Repairman Certificate; FAA A&P preferred
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience or required OJT per PPM QC-001
