You will be the Mechanical Engineer for the Precision Fires Launchers team. Our team is responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge launchers, including the M270A1 MLRS and M142 HIMARs, which are the core of the US Armys precision fire missile artillery system.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Mechanical Engineering and Product Design support for production and Industrial Engineering Services programs, ensuring the successful design and development of our launchers. You will work closely with the engineering team to bring innovative solutions to life.

Your responsibilities will include:
•3D model manipulation and design
•Interacting with the engineering team to resolve design and production issues
•Drawing preparation and release
•Supplier support and shop liaison
•Tolerance analysis and resolution
•Travel to supplier and production sites as required

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
An ME or AE Bachelor of Science Degree with
mimimum 2 years experience

Experience in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM
(Windchill)

Fluent in MF Office Software Tools

Familiarity with GD&T principles, engineering
change process experience.
Desired Skills:
Experience in ground vehicle desing, production
support, and manufacturing liaison

Experience supporting troubleshooting and
supplier engagement a bonus.

MRB dispositioning experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
