Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining both non-powered and powered equipment, including dollies, towbars, aircraft stairs, baggage carts, ramp vehicles, cargo loaders, forklifts, and various other loaders. This role involves preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation of work orders while maintaining a clean workspace both in the facility and airside.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on a variety of equipment, including both non-powered and powered machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Repair oil systems, filters, suspensions, brakes, lighting, and emergency brakes.
• Go on the road to procure parts and make deliveries as needed.
• Document all work orders accurately.
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace in the facility and airside.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or ground support equipment technician.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, particularly with heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Experience with blueprint reading and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Must possess own basic hand tools.
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and pneumatics.

Work Environment

Join a collaborative and team-oriented environment located at the Calgary airport. The facility houses over 100 personnel, including cargo staff and aircraft mechanics, with a virtual manager leading a team of 2 technicians. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with opportunities for overtime. The shop is situated on airport grounds, promoting a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

This is a Permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85280.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
