This position will report directly to one of the PTP Plant Engineering Supervisors and will require a variety of Facility Mechanic & Chemical Safety Inspector responsibilities along with an excellent customer service attitude. The selected candidate will work in our Hudson NH facility, with approximately 500,000 square feet of mixed-use offices, various classes of clean rooms, various classified areas, manufacturing spaces, assembly spaces, R&D spaces and specialty labs.

The successful candidate will be part of a Plant Engineering team consisting of skilled tradespersons from the following disciplines: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Automation, Chemical Safety Inspectors, Peer Facilities Mechanics, Supervisors, and a Facilities Manager.

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and capable of working in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate shall have experience in and be capable of the following:
  • Must have a great customer service demeanor and be capable of working with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing personnel moves on a daily basis.
  • Responsible in maintaining inventory control of used furniture for the facility. May pick-up and deliver urgently needed materials and perform miscellaneous stock retrieval duties as required.
  • Operates forklifts and hand trucks as required to move supplies and recycling bins.
  • Installs, moves and removes a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment using special tools and equipment such as staging, hoists and rigging. Erects and secures staging, hoists and rigging in compliance with codes and safety practices.
  • Installs, maintains and dismantles a wide variety of facility equipment. Must be capable of working from blueprints, equipment drawings, schematics and manufactures specification and literature.
  • Works independently and/or with a group of workers to complete assignments, renovations, fit ups or repairs. Must be capable of performing periodic maintenance inspection on all types of facilities, infrastructure, and equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings/specifications and applicable codes.
  • May be required to clean and service equipment that may contain hazardous substances and to participate in the sorting and accumulation of hazardous waste materials in accordance with the Federal, State and Local regulators.
  • Responsible for pre-planned prioritized safety inspections of various assets/systems throughout the buildings (fire extinguishers, fire doors, etc…)
  • Must be able to operate within a computerized maintenance work order system. Qualitied candidate must be able to log work performed, provide a brief explanation of the problem and summarize what was replaced and or repaired.
  • May be required to participate on special teams including but not limited to ice watch, emergency and medical response teams, and willing to participate in the on-call coverage for the facility.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Building Renovation & Basic Carpentry Skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • NH DES Hazardous Waste Handling/Management Experience
  • Warehouse, shipping & Receiving and/or Stock Management experience


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57319 - $91710

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
