Job Title: Assembler
Job DescriptionAs an Assembler, you will perform electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build units of moderate complexity, working under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Work from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire, and install a wide variety of components.
- Identify and select components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units.
- Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift, use hand tools, and work well with others.
- 1+ years of consistent working experience.
- 6+ months of manufacturing work experience or other relevant mechanical experience.

Work Environment
Brand new manufacturing facility with a climate-controlled environment. Shifts include 1st shift from 5am - 3:30pm or 6am - 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday with potential Friday overtime; and 2nd shift from 2:30pm - 11pm, Monday-Friday. Training on 1st shift is required for at least 2 weeks. Employees occasionally encounter moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.
