Job Title: Composite FabricatorJob DescriptionJoin an innovative aerospace and defense contractor specializing in the design and manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles. As a Composite Fabricator, you will collaborate closely with technicians and vendors to fabricate tooling, structures, and components using various materials. Your role involves assembling materials for drones, contributing to cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities- Follow design drawing instructions and written process instructions.
- Collaborate with the team to perform fabrication and assembly tasks and resolve tooling issues.
- Fabricate tooling, fixtures, and jigs from one or more materials.
- Operate hand and power tools, such as jitterbug and dotco, for cutting or trimming as required.
- Work with materials to perform bonding and curing in the experimental layup process.
- Use precision measuring tools like calipers, scales, and micrometers to check work performed.
- Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, following established procedures.
- Apply acquired job skills and company policies to complete tasks under minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills- Minimum 0.5 – 2 years of hands-on composite fabrication experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Knowledge of layup processes.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Computer proficiency and ability to download work instructions.
- Experience using hand and power tools like jitterbug and dotco.
- Assembly/composite work experience in an aviation, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Competency in calculating math dimensions with sample parts, sketches, and verbal instructions for fabricating details.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with small teams.
- Strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives.
- Ownership and responsibility for current and past work products.

Work EnvironmentWork a 9/80 schedule, having every other Friday off, with the potential to work Saturdays when necessary. The current schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours from 5:30 AM to 4 PM, though exact start times are being finalized. Enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment focused on innovation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
