Join an innovative aerospace and defense contractor specializing in the design and manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles. As a Composite Fabricator, you will collaborate closely with technicians and vendors to fabricate tooling, structures, and components using various materials. Your role involves assembling materials for drones, contributing to cutting-edge technology.

• Follow design drawing instructions and written process instructions.
• Collaborate with the team to perform fabrication and assembly tasks and resolve tooling issues.
• Fabricate tooling, fixtures, and jigs from one or more materials.
• Operate hand and power tools, such as jitterbug and dotco, for cutting or trimming as required.
• Work with materials to perform bonding and curing in the experimental layup process.
• Use precision measuring tools like calipers, scales, and micrometers to check work performed.
• Adhere to all safety requirements.
• Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, following established procedures.
• Apply acquired job skills and company policies to complete tasks under minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 0.5 – 2 years of hands-on composite fabrication experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Knowledge of layup processes.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Computer proficiency and ability to download work instructions.
• Experience using hand and power tools like jitterbug and dotco.
• Assembly/composite work experience in an aviation, industrial, or manufacturing setting.

• Competency in calculating math dimensions with sample parts, sketches, and verbal instructions for fabricating details.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with small teams.
• Strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives.
• Ownership and responsibility for current and past work products.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
