JOB SUMMARY:
Analysis of accounts payable activities and suggest processes for improvement. Analysis and audit of company expenses.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Review, reconcile, and verify accuracy of system values for inventory and Work-In-Process (WIP) sub-ledger detail through variance analysis.
- Evaluate and implement financial information into forecasting, budgeting, and other financial processes.
- Assist with the review of inventory and WIP transactions and related accruals.
- Prepare/post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers. Perform account reconciliation for various assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the monthly inventory/WIP/aircraft Reports.
- Investigate and clear WIP exceptions and aging balances.
- Assist with inventory price testing and corrections.
- Participate in physical inventory and monthly cycle count audit.
- Update various monthly reports and charts.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS);
- Participate in the process improvement initiative.
- Other special projects and reviews as assigned.
- Assist other Finance functions as directed.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Accounting. May consider Finance degree with relevant accounting experience
- Proficient computer skills necessary to operate spreadsheet, word processing, database, email, internet-based applications, and accounting systems.
- Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills. These are necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business unit areas, and third parties.
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.
- Good problem solving ability.
- Analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate alternatives and formulate recommendations in support of management decision-making.
- Must be able to function throughout the total facility (i.e., up and down stairs, in and out of aircraft) with or without reasonable accommodation.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Accounting experience including job costing environment. Masters degree plus minimal experience may be substituted.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Basic knowledge of process improvement methodology and application.
- Knowledge of manufacturing business practices.
- Knowledge of Inventory Costing, Longview software, and ASI / AS400.
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, data warehouse, and database concepts.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office conditions.
- Occasional travel by surface and/or air, including international.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The compensation for this position typically falls between $54,000 and $72,000 annually. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
