Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the overall engineering team for modifications on various military platforms (aviation, ground, and maritime) in support of our Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) Program in Lexington, KY. This program is critical to the success of US service members deployed throughout the world. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world.

What You Will Be Doing

The engineering scope generally involves modification and component integration into various platforms based on customer specifications. This role will support the tools, processes, reporting, and metrics associated with executing that work.

This position will be responsible for:

- Engineering reporting and report development: project status, actuals, metrics, etc.
- Collaborating with engineering leads to ensure project metrics and reports are up to date and provide the necessary data to leadership
- Engineering tools, processes, and databases
- Serving as Teamcenter administrator for the engineering team
- Maintaining the engineering team Sharepoint site
- Creating and/updating workflows to best support existing and new engineering processes
- Support IT department with software releases, module testing and data migrations as required
- The successful candidate will be forward thinking, flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent
- Database analytics and development
- Script/Code writing (primarily VBA)
- PLM Systems: Teamcenter
- Reporting Systems: MS Access, Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics
- Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Projects
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Security Plus certification (obtain within 6 months of hire)
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with engineering tools and processes
- Knowledge of CATIA v5, Solidworks, Creo, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of ASME, SAE, and military specifications
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printers)
- Familiarity with DoD IT systems
- Knowledge of cloud based computing and virtual systems
- Familiarity with Large Language Models and their use cases
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
