Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for undersea sensor applications.
Integrate DSP solutions into embedded systems, working closely with hardware and software teams.
Perform performance analysis and optimization to ensure reliable functionality in undersea environments.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for algorithms, software, and systems.
Lead and mentor junior engineers in DSP software best practices.
Stay up to date on DSP advancements, especially those applicable to undersea sensor systems.
Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and system testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Diagnose and resolve DSP-related issues in embedded sensor systems.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
8+ years of experience in DSP software development (or 6+ with Master’s degree).
Proficient in C/C++ for real-time, embedded applications.
Strong background in DSP algorithm design and optimization, especially for undersea sensors.
Experience with DSP hardware platforms and architectures.
Familiarity with MATLAB or similar tools for algorithm development and simulation.
Solid understanding of signal processing theory, particularly for underwater acoustics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development.
Background in submarine or surface ship sonar systems.
Knowledge of underwater acoustics, sonar, and oceanographic data modeling.
Exposure to machine learning or AI techniques applied to signal processing.
Agile development experience.
On-site work or occasional travel may be required depending on program needs.
