The mission of the software team in Fort Wayne, IN is to provide world-class software for our customers. We are looking to add software engineers to our development team for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems.

What You Will Do

• Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications

• Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement

• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

• Experience in any of the following, software development, integration, test using C++, C, Java or similar software language

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills

• Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools

• Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements

• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems

• Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible

• Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline

• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems

• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
