Wir suchen einen begeisterten Kollegen (w/m/d) für unser GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Performance-Team, um unsere Navigationssystem- und Performance-Aktivitäten für unsere Kunden ESA und EUSPA zu unterstützen. Sie werden dabei helfen, zukünftige Galileo-Navigationsdienste zu definieren, zu analysieren und zu validieren.

Ihre Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten:

• Beitrag zum Systemdesign durch Performance-Bewertung und -Begründung

• Engineering und Verifizierung von Performance-Anforderungen

• Parsing, Bearbeitung und statistische Analyse von Navigationsdaten

• Entwicklung und Weiterentwicklung von Navigationsalgorithmen auf System- und Nutzerebene

• Entwicklung, Wartung und Implementierung von Softwaretools zur Bewertung der Navigationsleistung und für Designaktivitäten

• Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung von Navigationssystemen hin zu einem robusteren Design mit neuen Diensten

• Durchführung von Trade-off-Analysen zur Findung der besten Lösung unter Einhaltung der Anforderungen

• Interaktion, Präsentation und Diskussion mit internationalen Kunden und Stakeholdern

Ihre Qualifikationen:

• Sie haben einen Master-Abschluss in Geodäsie, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Physik, Mathematik, Informatik, Elektrotechnik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung.

• Sie verfügen über Kenntnisse und erste Praxiserfahrung in Satellitennavigationssystemen und -algorithmen.

• Sie haben ein gutes Verständnis für Datenverarbeitung und statistische Auswertung.

• Sie sind in der Lage, komplexe technische Probleme zu analysieren und innovative Lösungen zu definieren.

• Sie haben Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung mit einer oder mehreren der folgenden Sprachen: Matlab, Python, C, C&43;&43; oder ähnlich.

• Vorteilhaft sind: Theoretische und praktische Kenntnisse in einem oder mehreren der folgenden Bereiche: Satellitennavigationssysteme, satellitengestützte Ergänzungssysteme (SBAS), Navigationssystem- und Nutzeralgorithmen, Statistik, Zeitsynchronisation und Zeitskalen, GNSS-Datenverarbeitung, Nutzerpositionierungsalgorithmen, Parameterschätzung, Integritätskonzepte.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribution to system design by performance assessment and justification

• Performance requirements engineering and verification

• Navigation data parsing, manipulation, and statistical analysis

• Development and evolution of navigation algorithms on system and user level

• Development, maintenance, and implementation of software tools used for navigation performance assessment and design activities

• Contribution to the evolution of navigation systems towards a more robust design with new services

• Perform trade-off analyses, finding the best solution fulfilling requirements

• Interaction, presentation, and discussion with international customers and stakeholders

Your skills include:

• You have a Master’s degree in geodesy, Aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering or similar

• You have knowledge and prior experience in satellite navigation systems & algorithms

• You have a good understanding of data processing and statistical evaluation

• You are able to analyze complex technical problems and define innovative solutions.

• You have experience in software development with one or more of the following languages: Matlab, Python, C, C&43;&43;, or similar

• Beneficial: you have theoretical and practical knowledge of one or more related topics: satellite navigation systems, satellite based augmentation systems, navigation system and user algorithms, statistics, time synchronization and time scales, GNSS data processing, user positioning algorithms, parameter estimation problems, integrity concepts

• You are ready to acquire a national security clearance

• You possess solid written and verbal communication skills in English

• You are a team player and are willing to work in international environments
