Role Summary
* In this role, you will serve as an Electrical Engineer supporting flight simulation projects by designing, developing, and reviewing electrical systems, drawings, and solutions. You will collect and interpret aircraft data, create power distribution and harness designs, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver accurate and efficient simulation models. This position requires strong technical expertise, proficiency with CAD tools, and knowledge of electrical codes and standards to ensure high-quality, compliant designs. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a BSEE with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field.
* Must have a minimum of 2 years in the simulation industry.
* Must have working knowledge of CAD applications, preferably MicroStation.
* Must demonstrate knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and practices.
* Must have an understanding of NFPA 70: National Electrical Code, with familiarity with IEC standards.
* Must have the proven ability to design electrical solutions from OEM data.
* Must be functional with software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
* Must be resourceful and knowledgeable in the development of spreadsheets and databases.
* Must have the ability to work in a dynamic design environment.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Familiarity with Mil Specifications & Standards / ANSI is a plus. Job Duties/Functions
* Will remain abreast of modern engineering concepts through continuing education and apply this knowledge to assigned projects.
* Will coordinate activities with peer engineers and project personnel to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Will collect aircraft data for panels, instruments, and systems to design simulation solutions.
* Will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop design solutions for computational, network, and data storage requirements.
* Will participate in preliminary and detailed design reviews internally and with customers.
* Will create lighting and power distribution designs to support simulation models.
* Will create system, cable, and harness drawings in support of flight simulation products.
* Will analyze and interpret advanced technical data using knowledge of simulator and aircraft systems.
* Will ensure effective information flow within the design team.
* Will prepare work packages and review junior engineers’ design outputs.
* Will determine methodology required to resolve a variety of technical problems.
* Will review internally developed technical publications for accurate representation of electrical products.
* Will authorize documentation for release and change.
* Will develop engineering orders and document engineering change notices to reflect evolving designs. Work Environment
* Will work near moving mechanical parts.
* Will work in high, precarious places.
* Will work near or around hazardous materials.
* Will be exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
* Will work in environments that may at times be loud due to manufacturing and heavy equipment. Physical Demands
* Will be required to climb a ladder and work at heights.
* Will be required to climb and balance.
* Will be required to lift 25 to 35 pounds.
* Will be required to have color vision with the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
