Textron Systems in Goose Creek, SC is looking for a dedicated Sr. Scheduler to develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs in our Simulation & Training business segment. As a Sr. Scheduler, you will work cross-functionally with program management, engineering, supply chain and operations to develop, manage and report on IRAD, Engineering Development and Production schedules. In this role youll also provide mentoring on scheduling best practices to junior schedulers and project managers as requested.

Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in schedule analytics, planning methods and best practicesResolve schedule issues efficientlyPerform the role of relieving demand and loading demandDefine and maintain schedule documentationAnalyze schedules and ensure they accurately represent contractual scope, flow, and resources required to execute the programMonitor and improve planning and scheduling processes and proceduresAnalyze operational health metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementAssist in the development of program baselines, including assigning resources within work-breakdown-structures, assigning earned value methods, and verification of contract budget baselineCoordinate with Financial Analysts and provide technical insight on earned value variance analysis to assist CAMs in baseline variance reportingPerform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in scheduling within an engineering development and/or manufacturing operation, or other similar experience

  • Demonstrated success in planning, developing, baselining and tracking schedules for commercial and DoD programs

  • Proven working knowledge and understanding of advanced scheduling methodologies and techniquesBachelors degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Business or other related field is preferred.Experience with implementing, tracking and reporting schedule performance/earned valueAbility to derive, interpret and present schedule performance and efficiency metrics to Senior Leadership team (e.g. schedule variance, SPI, milestone burndown, plan vs actual, etc.)Familiar with Schedule - Cost integration within the COBRA financial engine, or similarAbility to develop and report on Schedule Risk Analyses (SRA)Experience with supporting development of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and transitioning these into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).Excellent oral and written communication skills & ability to interface effectively and efficiently across the organization.Familiarity with schedules in an MRP/ERP environment (i.e. SAP, Oracle, MAPICS, BAAN, etc.).
