  • Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
  • Performs federally required CHRC screening adjudication processes to comply with security regulations and company policy regarding Delta Pre-employment background checks processing to include internal and external candidates.
  • Manages and maintains necessary documentation to meet all federal, state, and local requirements, as well as Delta policies regarding CHRC for purposes of Pre-Employment background screening.
  • Researches and investigates criminal charges to determine eligibility for Delta Pre-Employment background screenings to include adjudication for Education, Employment and Criminal/MVR for Delta New Hires and Internal transfers.
  • Review, investigate and assess appropriate follow up based on CHRC results including Pre-Adverse and Adverse actions.
  • Provides guidance regarding interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures for compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Acts as subject matter expert on Background processing and delivers process training to support compliance requirements associated with Pre-Employment to Field Leaders.
  • Manages all responsibilities of the Background inbox to include timely communication with operational Leaders, field HR representatives and internal/external candidates regarding Background, criminal MVR, and decisions including Pre-Adverse and Adverse actions.
  • Schedules and performs internal audits to measure process effectiveness.
  • Collects and analyzes data and takes appropriate action to respond to internal and external requests.
  • Acts as a liaison with third party administrator as well as regulatory entities as required.
  • Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must have minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study or equivalent related work experience.
  • Should be able to comprehend and apply regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Should be able to analyze problems and form logical conclusions appropriate to regulatory guidelines, as well as company policy.
  • Should be able to review and interpret CHRC and Background results and accurately apply regulatory and/or company policy requirements to recommend appropriate action.
  • Must be able to conduct follow up investigation as necessary, including understanding and applying regulatory requirements.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
