As a Manufacturing Planner Staff (Level 4), you will play a key role in synchronizing planning activities across engineering, supply chain, and production to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. What You Will Be Doing
- Perform Make, Buy, and Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities aligned with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
- Maintain production system integrity to drive inventory optimization and cost minimization.
- Expedite and optimize material flow throughout the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery of program-critical components.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing and Operations Management to analyze production schedules, capacity requirements, and shop floor execution.
- Partner with Procurement and other Supply Chain stakeholders to develop and manage time-phased procurement plans that align with manufacturing needs.
- Monitor and adjust MRP parameters, including lead times and lot sizes, to reflect real-time production and supply dynamics.
- Work with Engineering and Change Board Representatives to update and maintain accurate BOM configurations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems and BOM planning.
- Experience with production scheduling, capacity analysis, and material control in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, including procurement and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in using enterprise tools such as SAP, Solumina, or similar systems.
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Experience with Global Supply Chain, import/export and international shipping requirements
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar MRP/ERP platforms.
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve material and scheduling challenges.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
